Getting used to Ren'Py visual novel engine and other programming languages

I began experiencing the Ren’py gaming engine software during my free time, in order to learn the fundamentals of developing a visual novel. It was a hassle at first, since I was new to the Python programming language. Learning Python is like learning Chinese in code. It can be quite a bitch, sometimes, but it was worth it. I had to use the Editra software to organize my scripting procedures for my visual novel to work.  I had a dream one time where I can one day make a visual novel like “Katawa Shoujo” or any other type of visual novel.

I did some research of learning Python all over the internet. Some tutorials show how to develop a scripting game example called “Hello, World” and other tutorials show how to make side-scrolling 2D or 3D games by using “Pygame.” My first attempt in creating “Hello, World” using Python 3.3 (latest Python version) feels awkward at the beginning, but then I get the gist of it. It takes a while to learn this impressive language, in my opinion.
The other programming language called “lua” is also quite impressive. I never thought this programming language was used in one of the top MMORPG of all time, “World of Warcraft.” I may have to learn “lua” when I have more free time to study it.
The “lua” programming books are available at amazon.com or Barnes and Noble. I would perhaps buy one for reference.

  1. Engine repair and replacement expenses are huge and it is almost similar to buying a new vehicle. However, if we go through auto repair shops and market, you will find many different economical options to buying new engine for replacement right?
